º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ ranked top five for graduate employability in the UK

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has been ranked top five in the UK for graduate employability in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings.

The rankings, launched this year, considered 1239 universities worldwide. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ was ranked 39th in the world.

The primary aim of the rankings is to help students make informed choices for their educational futures, based specifically on the ability of their chosen university to help them succeed in the employment market.

Universities are judged on five key criteria: employer reputation; partnerships with employers; alumni outcomes; employers’ presence on campus; and graduate employment rate.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ was ranked top in the UK for partnerships with employers and employers’ presence on campus.

Speaking about º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s ranking Helen Smith, the University’s Head of Careers and Employability, said: “º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ prides itself on the high calibre of graduates it produces, and the University provides great opportunities for  students to  develop the skills and attributes they need to progress successfully in their chosen careers.

“This QS ranking also reflects the excellence of our placement provision and employer partnerships, including the largest on-campus graduate recruitment fair in the UK, and we work closely with employers to ensure that º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ graduates continue to be highly sought after.”
