º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London to work in partnership with Sport Industry Group

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London’s Institute for Sport Business has been announced as the official partner of Cutting Edge Sport.

The University, which is based on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will exclusively offer postgraduate study, will work with Sport Industry Group to further develop Cutting Edge Sport, with a particular focus on sportindustry.biz/cutting-edge-sport. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London will supply regular content to the newest addition to the Sport Industry Group-owned website which highlights sport in progressive thought, invention and digital engagement.         

Sport Industry Group will also work with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London on new initiatives that will expand the existing Sport Industry Group portfolio and benefit the sector.

Professor James Skinner, Director of the Institute for Sport Business at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London, said: “We are delighted to be working with Sport Industry Group. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is renowned for its design-led innovation in sport and for accelerating novel concepts from initial stages through to commercialisation. Our partnership with Sport Industry Group will enable us to further enhance our activity in this area and ensure that the UK remains at the forefront of innovation in sport.”

As part of its partnership with Sport Industry Group, the Institute for Sport Business, º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London, sponsored the Cutting Edge Sport Award at this year’s BT Sport Industry Awards, which were held in London on 30 April 2015.

The BT Sport Industry Awards will bring together the biggest and best names within the industry, from leading sport teams, agencies, governing bodies and more, who will sit alongside sporting legends past and present for the industry’s flagship event.

The Cutting Edge Sport Awards recognises work from across the industry that demonstrates how a new idea, innovation or creative use of technology has made a measurable impact against a campaign or brand’s objectives. It was won by Sportradar Security Services.

The Institute for Sport Business is one of six specialist institutes that comprise º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in London.

In autumn 2015 º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ will open an additional academic campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the centre of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in London will offer postgraduate education, as well as research opportunities, with a particular focus on innovation and entrepreneurship to meet the challenges of a global digital age.
