º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ set to welcome thousands for Open Day

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is set to welcome thousands of visitors to its campus over the next two days (26 – 27 June) for its Summer Open Day.

The open days are held twice a year in June and September, offering students the opportunity to visit the campus and get a feel for the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ experience.

Those attending the open days will be able to access detailed course information, get advice on accommodation options and student finances, go on campus tours and talk direct to University staff and current students.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ continues to be a popular choice among those wanting to study at university, with over 15,000 people expected on campus across the two days. Total numbers are up nearly 20% on last years figures.

Student and volunteer, Jason Hodgson, said: “I found it really useful when I came to an Open Day at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. I was able to speak to lecturers and find out specific details about the course I wanted to study. I was also able to see the quality first hand, not only of the teachers, but the facilities too.

My advice to anybody attending would be to go on tours, talk to both staff and students and ask lots of questions - don’t leave with anything unanswered.”

Sarah Hannaford, Head of Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions, comments: “We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to the University this weekend to get a taste of the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ experience. Our Open Days provide an invaluable opportunity for students to get a real feel for the campus and find out more about the courses on offer. Throughout the two days staff and students will be on hand with information and advice to ensure that any questions you have are answered.”
