º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ rises to 13th in Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has climbed three places to 13th in the seventh annual Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’, which is published today (9 October).
The ‘Table of Tables’ ranks the UK’s top 30 universities based on the combined results of the three main domestic university league tables – the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, The Guardian University Guide, and the Complete University Guide – to provide a snapshot of how universities are viewed by national newspapers.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is ranked ahead of two thirds of the 24 universities that comprise the Russell Group, placing it firmly among the UK’s higher education elite.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has performed well in each of the national league tables published this year. It leapt to 13th place out of the UK’s 123 universities, and was shortlisted for the coveted title of University of the Year, in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015, and was ranked 13th and 15th respectively in The Complete University Guide 2015 and The Guardian University Guide.
“Our performance in this year’s league tables is recognition of the breadth of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s strengths and our excellence right across the board,” says the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison.
“It reflects the quality of education we offer, our world-class research and innovation, and the exceptional all-round student experience we provide at the University.”
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is now the East Midlands’ top university according to all three national university rankings.
This year º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ also achieved a five-star rating in the international QS Stars scheme, putting it alongside some of the very best universities in the world.
