New Chief Operating Officer appointed at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ

Richard Taylor

Richard Taylor has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.

Richard is currently Deputy Registrar at the University of Leicester and a member of the University's senior management team. He holds a varied brief which includes overall responsibility for the University’s planning activity, residences and catering, sport, the University’s conference centre, admissions, marketing, communications and fundraising activity.

Richard is also a trustee of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

He joined the University of Leicester in 2003 after holding posts at Durham and º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ universities.

Richard grew up in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, and attended Barnsley College before studying at Durham University, where he was Students’ Union President in 1994-5.

He lives local to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ and is married with two young children.

Of his appointment, Richard said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. It is an organisation that has enjoyed significant success in recent years and has huge potential to build on that record. I very much look forward to meeting new colleagues and students.”
