Marco G. Mazza uses theory and computer simulations to investigate soft matter systems such as active swimmers, liquid crystals, and granular matter. From bacteria to biofilms, or from simple molecules to large-scale patterns, our main goal is to identify the driving mechanisms of complex matter organization.
