Dr Emilene Zitkus

Dr Zitkus is an expert in inclusive design, focused on human-computer interaction, digital inclusion, user-centred and user experience design.

Much of her research has explored the digital exclusion across older adults in the UK and Brazil, as well as how inclusive design can facilitate the development of more egalitarian services.

Dr Zitkus can discuss the need to look at digital exclusion, the consequences of being connected with low digital skills, the challenges in achieving essential digital skills for life and how design can support better and inclusive services.
