Through gaining my master’s at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, it gave me the skills to fulfil my dream of working in football, and now opening my own nutrition consultancy.
Why did you choose to study at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ?
I chose to study at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ as it’s known to be the best university for sports and exercise science.
How has º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ inspired you and helped you to progress in your career?
Through gaining my master’s at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, it gave me the skills to fulfil my dream of working in football, and now opening my own nutrition consultancy.
I did my master’s project at Nottingham Forest FC, the project aim involved the analysis of performance and anthropometric characteristics of academy football players and the impact it has on senior playing standard.
What has your career journey been so far?
After completing my master’s I worked as Strength and Conditioning intern at Nottingham Trent University, I then gained more experience when I volunteered as a Performance Analyst at Real Salt Lake a MLS (Major League Soccer) team in Utah, USA, working with players and coaches.
I then moved to Aspire Academy in Qatar, I provided performance nutrition services to the U19 and Olympic U23 National Football Teams this involved informing athletes on optimal nutrition for football, including hydration, weight management, recovery, travel and supplementation.
Now I am in Kuwait, where I have started my own nutrition consultancy.
Can you tell us more about your current role?
I am the founder and the nutritionist in my own company, Believe Nutrition.
I provide sports nutrition services to professional athletes relating to performance, recovery and supplementation. I also work with healthy individuals to achieve their goals.
I am involved in raising nutrition and health awareness in Kuwait to educate people on the importance of healthy nutrition.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
Fulfilling my goal of working in football.
What do you love the most about your job and what does the future hold?
Inspiring and motivating people to be the best and healthiest they can be. The future looks really bright, as we are currently developing a daily coaching mobile app.
