º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London is the creme de la creme for me. If you choose to study at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London you will not be mistaken.
How did you discover º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, and why did you decide to study here?
During my Language courses based in London, I have had a chance to participate in an Open-day activity held by º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London; therefore this event has significantly encouraged me to enrol to the programme I am studying now. There have been several reasons for that, first of, the location of the campus looked promising, secondly and the most profoundly important, the master’s programme of Lboro London was exciting and sounded quite handy for my current career. That is why my choice has fallen to Global Communication and Development of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ based in London.
How easy was the application process and what support were you offered?
Surprisingly, the enrollment procedure was not challenging; the only difficulty I faced was getting my documents packed on my early stage of preparations. Overall, the application process was easy to follow thanks to its clear guidance and distinct navigation in what needed filling out.
Describe your first week at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ - did you find it easy or difficult to adjust to your new life and why?
As an international student for the first time and being a bit mature for studying a master programme (I am over 33 years old), I have not noticed any difficulties at the start of my stay. Importantly, this has made a positive change to my life.
What opportunities were there for you to meet other international students and get involved in social activities?
Well, the university provides you with various activities regarding all social aspects. All of them are free of charge and are up to your personal interests.
The Student Union is another way of socialising and making friends for international students. It is amazing and quite handy to have so close. However, I did not manage to get involved as much, as during the study process you catch up with students and make friends during collaborative projects and other activities that require teamwork.
What are the best things about living and studying at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ?
First of all, it is a diverse international atmosphere, there is a real diversity of cultures and mentalities. It is so valuable in my studying process that I cannot express it in a single sentence to put it right.
When you're not studying, what do you enjoy doing in your free time at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ?
London, as well as other cities of the UK, is well known for its parks and green spots. Another positive aspect is that mainly all the museum galleries are free of charge. I am sure that all students, will find their way how to spend their free-time wisely and benefit from numerous opportunities that the city offers.
After you have graduated from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, what are your plans for the future?
I am a “Bolashak” scholarship holder, and I do have obligations due to the contract between me and the “International Education Programme” of Kazakhstan. Thus, I plan to come back to Kazakhstan and start working. Luckily, I am going to continue a job right there, however, in an absolutely new level of perceiving entire processes around me.
Secondly, the field I am studying now is a brilliant tool for my current position at my company that is why I am more than inclined to get into the media field again and put all my knowledge into action.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about studying at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ?
If you choose Lboro London to study at, you will not be mistaken.
