Parvathi Vasudevan
I am a passionate physicist and ever-enthusiastic educator, pursuing my doctoral research in materials science (which is nothing but applied physics).
Physics, as a subject, has long been perceived as complex and challenging to understand. During my studies in science education, I realized that this complex subject can be beautifully communicated using simple teaching aids and hands-on demonstrations. I believe that’s how the teacher and researcher in me were born.
In this picture, I am holding a Vernier caliper, which is a measuring tool, which signifies the importance of measurement as the basis of any science. My current research interest is in developing additive manufacturing technologies to make complex ceramic materials for a multitude of applications, ranging from ceramics as heating elements to sophisticated ceramic builds in space shuttles. Let's work as a team to learn, grow, explore, and create a sustainable world.
