We are renowned for providing staff and students with an excellent sporting experience in our world-class gym facilities. With Powerbase and Holywell Park Fitness Centre located on campus, there is a whole range of health and fitness classes, equipment and advice available to you. Whatever your fitness goals, experience or level of ability there is something for everyone.
Cycle to work
The University is committed to creating a green campus and promoting health and fitness amongst employees. In support of this we run a scheme to help employees with the cost of purchasing a bicycle and related equipment, where you can save up to 42% on the cost of a bicycle. So, if you’re considering cycling to work, we could save you some serious money.
The Cycle2Work scheme is only available to employees who have completed six months service with the University. For more information on the scheme visit the Cycle2Work website.
Volunteering
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ plays a leading role in the economic, social and cultural development of the region and aims to build on relationships with the local community. The University has introduced an employer supported volunteering policy as part of its commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility. It is intended to support, encourage and develop employees by facilitating their involvement in volunteering opportunities within the community and for charitable organisations. Voluntary activities should be of mutual benefit to the employee, the University and the community. This policy applies to all substantive members of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ staff, in all projects approved by the University.
Physiotherapy and spa facilities
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ is home to numerous spa and physiotherapy facilities for staff. Whether it is to reduce pain, increase strength or movement, or just for general wellbeing, there are opportunities for staff to access fantastic services and facilities.

Amongst our amazing sports facilities, we boast an amazing 50 metre swimming pool that is open to staff.

Campus runs and walks - London
Walking and running are two of the simplest and cheapest ways to keep fit. There is no need for special equipment, just a supportive pair of shoes and you can start walking slowly and build up gradually.
For staff based at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ London campus, there is the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Trails.
