What is my role
Security risks can arise in a range of our activities and it’s important to be security minded in all of our activities.
All colleagues have a responsibility to keep fellow staff members, our students and our partners safe and keep the University compliant.
Listen and learn
Ensure you are up to date with your mandatory training, so that you are aware of the requirements of your role, the expectations of the University and the tools available to you. Read more about the different elements of Safer Partnerships and Trusted Research
Reflect
Think about your role and if applicable the research you are engaged in and whether it engages or is likely to engage any of the different compliance regimes which form part of Safer Partnerships and Trusted Research. Are you clear on your responsibilities?
Know your partner
When working with new and existing partners, use the Due Diligence tool to establish that they are the right party to work with and that there is no legal or reputational reason not to.
Ask for help
If you are struggling with any of the particular areas referenced on this website, contact the University lead for that area. Alternatively, for more help with Safer Partnerships and Trusted Research, email trusted.research@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk
