Senior Reviewer Groups
Preparing for the Meeting
Prior to your meeting it is important that all SRG members:
- Have ‘senior reviewer’ access to the PDR online system, or are provided with a summary of the results for the school/professional service
- Are provided with an agenda for the meeting
During the Meeting
The Dean/Director has overall responsibility for ensuring that the SRG takes place and for the decisions reached, and that a representative from HR is present for these discussions. It is advised that all SRGs follow the recommended agenda to structure their meetings. A recommended agenda and how to track changes made during the course of the meeting can be found in the SRG guidance and resources section.
After the Meeting – reporting the PDR data
Following the meeting the Dean or Director will be responsible for:
- Reflect on the PDR process report back to HR. A template for this report can be found in the resource section.
HR Attendance
HR business partners and OD Advisors will attend your SRG meetings to:
- Give advice on the PDR process
- Contribute relevant information
- Provide some challenge in decisions made, to assist in thinking through possible ramifications of decisions and alternative routes of action

They are not there to:
- Make decisions for the group
- Chair the meeting
- Take notes
- Produce reports
- Own the PDR
- Feedback to your reviewees or reviewers of decisions made
