Ksenia Chmutina

Ksenia Chmutina's research interest are in disaster risk creation, and she is particularly interested in how vulnerabilities are created and re-created by systemically oppressing the most marginalised groups of the population in urban areas. Her research also explore how disaster language further enhances marginalisation.

She is currently a CI on a GCRF Gender Responsive Resilience and Intersectionality in Policy and Practice (GRRIPP) - Networking Plus Partnering for Resilience, where she is leading the Resilience theme.  She has also recently been appointed as a Director of ED&I at the SABCE, and will be leading all the ED&I related activities in the school.
