Status of Students

(Version effective from 1 August 2011)

The status of a student as such shall end when any one or more of the following occurs:

  1. on the formal conferral of their award (either in person or in absentia) at graduation
  2. on withdrawal from the University
  3. on termination of their studies by Senate or a Programme Board
  4. on expulsion
  5. on lapse of their registration for a degree by research
  6. when they shall be deemed by the Academic Registrar (or nominee), in consultation with the relevant  School, to have abandoned his/her studies.
