More than £30,000 was raised for the Fund in 2021 through The £10k Challenge.

Three years on and the Fund continues to support the University and its students. A sum of £300 has been spent on two events for Men’s Mental Health and Student Carers, respectively.

The two activities were set up to support specific groups of students. The money was used to purchase resources, goody bags, and refreshments for attendees.

The funding shows that every donation counts, being used carefully to provide students with a great experience that helps them to feel comfortable, settle into an activity, and to have takeaways after the event.

Kind donations to the Fund have helped a range of projects and activities during the last few years. These include increasing the funding available to the Student Services team, launching a hidden disabilities scheme for students and staff, offering online mental health and wellbeing coaching to students, supporting Doctoral Researchers through wellbeing workshops, and more.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to support the Student Mental Health Fund.
