Professor Gruber, Co-Director of CSM, was an invited speaker at a biannual conference on quality in public sector and society (Kvalitetsmässan) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Kvalitetsmässan is Europe’s largest conference and trade fair on operational and social development. It aims at inspiring and giving impulses to the improvement of public services and society at large.This year’s conference attracted 4408 delegates and nearly 10000 visitors. 11 ministers of the Swedish government and 6 party leaders were among the speakers as well as the current Swedish Prime Minster.

Professor Gruber’s presentation focused on the role of transformative service research and its impact on public services (with a special focus on the impact of positive feedback on the well-being of frontline employees) and featured two studies conducted with Dr Linda Nasr and Dr Jamie Burton from the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.
