The Centre for Information Management is delighted to invite you to an evening seminar with guest speaker Andrew Lambe, Senior Knowledge and Intelligence Manager, NHS.
Overview:
Focusing on applying Knowledge Management (KM) in the workplace, Andrew Lambe will present his experience of setting up a new KM service in NHS England. NHS England sets the priorities and direction of the NHS to encourage and inform the national debate to improve health and care. Andrew’s goal was to develop a service that informed, accelerated and supported teams deliver better, efficient and sustainable improvement programmes. Andrew will describe the service’s development, comprising 5C’s– consultancy, capability, content, curate, collaborate - and explore in more detail its two main arms: a SharePoint based knowledge hub and a bespoke knowledge consultancy service for teams. Andrew will report on the services successes, challenges and its future plans.
Biography:
Andrew has worked in Knowledge Management since 1998. Firstly, he was a Knowledge Lead in Accenture supporting consultancy teams access, apply and share knowledge when delivering client facing projects. Since 2005, Andrew has led a variety of knowledge teams in the NHS, focusing on knowledge sharing, lessons learned, capability development, communities of practice and accessing the evidence base. In an era of constrained public finance, variation in care and quality and unprecedented service demand, Andrew passionately believes KM has a vital role to play in transforming health services.
