Non-STEM pathway
Although your course is not in science or engineering you will still use quite a lot of maths: statistical analyses are used in most subjects, psychology students for instance will use equations and graphs, design students will need to calculate angles and areas and geography students will use formulas in many areas. It is important that you feel comfortable with all of these, so some practice and revision of what you already know will enable you to concentrate on the new concepts you will meet.
How the badge works
There are 6 blocks of materials. In each block there will be some starter questions which you should try.
If you do not feel confident answering the starter questions, then carefully go through the explanations and exercises in the HELM workbooks provided, using the link to the interactive HELM questions for extra practice. There are also additional resources and videos available.
After engaging with the 6 blocks of material, you will have a good understanding of the maths you will study in your degree.
