Gelfand-Tsetlin basis and special functions

Most of the classical special functions can be realized as matrix elements of representations of Lie groups. In the talk it will be explained that the famous Gelfand-Tsetlin formulas can be used to produce integral presentations for their multidimensional counterparts, which can be further generalized.
