I completed my BA(Hons) in Mathematics with Russian Studies, followed by my PGCE Secondary Mathematics and MEd Teaching Studies at the University of Birmingham. Teaching maths since 2004, I have worked in schools in Birmingham and Worcestershire and am now the Senior Lead Practitioner for mathematics at the Ormiston Academies Trust, where I support teachers through coaching and curricular resources across a national network of over forty schools, secondary, primary and alternative provision.
I am the author of books for teachers and students, I present at teaching and learning conferences, I occasionally write for education magazines and I blog about maths education. I am also a Chair of the Mathematical Association.
