MEC Professors shortlisted for Vice-Chancellor's Award

Vice-Chancellor's awards

Professors Matthew Inglis and Camilla Gilmore have been shortlisted for a Vice-Chancellor's Award in the category Enabling research.

This nomination was based on Matthew and Camilla’s tireless work and well-documented success at creating a world-class research environment in the Centre for Mathematical Cognition. A distinctive feature of Matthew and Camilla’s way of allocating resources is that they place great emphasis on creating opportunities for early career researchers, including a mentoring programme and bespoke in-house training opportunities.

The Vice Chancellor’s Awards run every September to recognise, honour and celebrate members of the University staff community who have achieved amazing things, demonstrating their commitment to the University's aims and values, especially around togetherness.

The nominations in the Enabling research catergory and other catergories can be viewed on the Vice-Chancellor's Awards webpages.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 13 September.
