Staying in touch with what industry needs is a top priority and apart from our extensive research collaborations, we have an Industrial Advisory Board made up from a strategic industrial membership and a dedicated industrial outreach staff member.
People and relationships are a key element in successful business and we offer many opportunities for business to get involved with our students, through work placements, undergraduate and postgraduate sponsored projects. Our graduates are highly sought after and many students continue to work for their placement companies after graduating.

There is the added benefit that our graduates have a qualification you can trust. All the undergraduate and postgraduate taught students in our department are working towards a degree fully accredited by The Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
