º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ's Advanced Ceramics Research Group wins top prize at conference
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ's Advanced Ceramics Research Group wins top prize at the Cardiff International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications.
Organised by the Association of Microwave Power Education and Research in Europe (AMPERE), this biennial event drew attendees from over 25 countries and focused on microwave, RF, and high-frequency research and materials processing.
The Advanced Ceramics Research Group at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has secured the Best Poster Award at the 19th International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications.
The winning poster, titled 'Conventional and Microwave Sintering of 3D Printed Advanced Ceramic Filter Structures,' was presented by the Department of Materials’ research team including Ms. Parvathi Vasudevan, Dr. Annapoorani Ketharam, Dr. Thonos Goulas, Mr. Aravind Kundamani, Dr. Sina Saremi Yarahmadi, and Prof. Bala Vaidhyanathan.
What makes this achievement even more notable is the project's funding source, provided by the UK Research and Innovation's (UKRI) Strength in Places fund forming collaborations with several industrial partners from the Midlands Industrial Ceramics Group (MICG), with Foseco International contributing to the development of these advanced filter structures for industrial applications.
This international recognition underscores the exceptional research capabilities and innovation potential of º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ's Advanced Ceramics Research Group. Their work not only advances scientific knowledge but also holds promise for transforming the ceramics and materials processing industry.
