Innovative Technology Drives Vehicle Research Forward

At º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, we’re working closely with the motor industry to get the most out of powertrain technology for use in the real world.

Our research into real-world vehicle use will enable significant improvements in performance at reduced cost. In the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering, we have cutting-edge engine testing facilities, where Research Associate Thomas Childs and his team work with a view to improving fuel consumption and emissions in cars. Using modern dynamic approaches, alongside industrial partners, this video showcases a revolutionary new fuel flow measurement technology, which directly tackles one of many technological barriers to the success of the research.
