Alumna reaps rewards at Rolls-Royce following award success
Anastasia Ilina has completed an internship at Rolls-Royce having won the 2018 Daily Telegraph STEM Award in June.
Anastasia, who graduated in 2018 with a B.Eng. in Materials Engineering, spent 10 weeks at Rolls-Royce’s Data Labs in Derby, working on IT innovation and technology development. She won the award this summer with her Augmented Reality solution for factory floor management, helping companies manage safety and process control.
The Telegraph STEM Awards reach across six STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) categories, with Anastasia taking the Digital prize. Each category is sponsored by leading businesses including McLaren, BAE and Glaxo Smith Kline.
Anastasia said, “The STEM Awards experience has broadened my horizons, dramatically improved my career network, and I hope that my data internship at Rolls-Royce will help me move into the tech industry in the near future.
“By working in the right sector in STEM, you can truly contribute to improving the world for both yourself and others.”
