How to win an EPSRC new investigator award

Abstract: How do you write effective grants? I have just chaired the EPSRC panel for the new investigator awards. This was under their new system. I will feedback some suggestions I gathered at the panel. I will also give some overall grant writing tips that I have accumulated over the years. Bring a pen and paper. Just to set the tone – this is not a moaning/therapy session about failed grants, but an upbeat, positive, can-do approach. I would also like to hear any hints and tips from the audience (I don't have all the answers). Ultimately, how can we write better grants at Lough'?
