OpenPlus

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, in partnership with the Open University, offers a flexible route to a degree in chemistry for those without the traditional entry requirements.

If you want a science degree - but perhaps your qualifications, finances or family commitments are holding you back - OpenPlus could be for you! This unique partnership between The Open University (OU) and other leading science universities around the UK opens up a more affordable and flexible route to an honours degree in chemistry.

Endorsed by the Royal Society of Chemistry, OpenPlus provides you with a high-quality teaching and learning experience from start to finish.

Year 1 - 2

You will gain a thorough grounding of chemistry in two years of part-time study through the Open University, while living at home. Course material will be delivered by post and electronically, and you will have support from a tutor and other Open University staff. You will also attend a one-week residential school.

Year 3 - 4

On successful completion you will be able to transfer into the second year of the Chemistry programme at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, and will expect to graduate with a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ BSc degree after a further two years of full-time study. Other BSc and MChem programmes may be available dependent on prior experience.
