We have an extensive range of laboratory facilities, offering students, researchers and staff an excellent environment in which to study and work.

Our teaching facilities

The following facilities are dominantly used for teaching our undergraduate and postgraduate students. However, some facilities are shared and taught students may use research equipment if their dissertation project requires it and vice versa.

Using the Igloo virtual reality environment

First-year lab classes examine how the actual plant is controlled. Students work in the Igloo and a remote control room to simulate communication and control in a real-life facility.
