Research and expertise
My research focuses on building a blockchain-based innovative governance model that steers complex construction projects.
Profile
During my BSc degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, I accumulated a range of mathematical knowledge and computer science skills (C++, C#, Java, Python, Javascript (including Node JS & React), R and MATLAB) that have supported my PhD research.
Once I completed my undergraduate degree, I started my construction career at Hyundai Engineering (Global Top 20 International Contractor) in South Korea. Nine years of work experience in construction firms has provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of construction companies, projects and industries, and brought me into contact with a diverse and influential network within the construction industry.
However, my passion for research encouraged me to pursue an MSc in Construction & Project Management at University College London (UCL). Ultimately, the MSc programme at UCL helped me develop the analytical skills required to support PhD research.
I decided to pursue a PhD in Architecture, Building and Civil engineering at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in order to research the blockchain-based innovative governance model.
Now I am a full-time Doctoral Researcher of a PhD in Civil and Building Engineering, at the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. Also, simultaneously, I am a full-stack blockchain developer and a commercially astute, resilient and influential Project Management Consultant (MAPM, PRINCE2 Practitioner and PMP qualified) with extensive international experience delivering key project leadership roles in a globally renowned, matrix-managed corporate organisation.
