Profile

I am a civil engineer, specialising in the environmental design of buildings. I hold a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath.

I continued my studies at Imperial College where I acquired an MSc in Earthquake Engineering. I subsequently worked as a civil engineer in the construction industry in Greece. I continued my studies at Cardiff University in the Welsh School of Architecture, where I completed my MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings. I returned to Greece where I worked as a freelancer conducting energy inspections of homes.

I joined the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in 2015 to pursue a PhD in Building Performance Analysis; a project funded by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) Trust. My research explored issues relative to thermal modelling for mitigating overheating risk utilising monitored data from energy efficient flats that served as case studies, employing dynamic modelling, Sensitivity/Uncertainty Analysis and Bayesian calibration methods.

I am currently working as a Research Associate on the Demonstration of Energy Efficiency Potential (DEEP) project, looking in particular at the impact that retrofit of homes has on overheating and moisture build-up.
