Teaching
I contribute to learning and teaching activities including the development of students in the department of Construction commercial management and quantity surveying and across the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering programmes, including: student engagement and their personal development to help them formulate and achieve their set goals.
I believe students’ performance is a reflection of their personality and the performance of their teacher, as their relationship will have a lasting effect on both parties and must be built on mutual trust, at least to a reasonable degree, for them to succeed.
Profile
I am a registered quantity surveyor with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying with about two decades of experience in the construction industry and experience in education, consultancy and contracting.
I spent most of my career heading the commercial section of my organisation with various commercial and administrative responsibilities as Head of Quantity surveying, which led to the various successes achieved in my field. I was responsible for the growth and development of my colleagues and I saw to the training of young quantity surveyors during their industrial placement at my organisation. I have had a fulfilling career so far and have always left a positive mark/indelible footprint while I maintained an excellent relationship with my colleagues in my various spheres of influence.
