I am currently immersed in my doctoral research, which centers on a critical aspect of public health: investigating the disease transmission risk posed by toilet plume bioaerosols in healthcare and hospitality settings.
This research holds immense significance as it delves into a largely unexplored area with potentially profound implications for infection control. By unraveling the dynamics of bioaerosols released during toilet flushing, particularly in environments where vulnerable populations gather, my work aims to enhance our understanding of disease spread and contribute valuable insights to health and safety measures. Through this investigation, I aspire to make impactful contributions to safeguarding the health and well-being of individuals within these crucial settings.

I am an emerging researcher passionately pursuing my interests in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), along with a strong focus on public health, infection control, and health and safety. I hold a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in International Water and Sanitation Engineering stands as a testament to my unwavering commitment to these fields.
My academic journey took a significant turn during my master's studies, where I honed my expertise in water supply, sanitation infrastructure, and risk management and showcased my interdisciplinary approach and ability to investigate critical public health issues arising from toilet plume bioaerosols.
Currently pursuing a PhD in a related field, I delve into disease transmission risks associated with bioaerosols in healthcare and hospitality settings. This research aligns with my career interests in infection control, health and safety, and promoting hygienic practices to safeguard public health. I am dedicated to bridging the gap between research and real-world application, crafting evidence-based strategies that empower organizations to enhance health and safety standards. My ultimate goal is to contribute significantly to policies and practices that shape healthier and more sustainable environments.
Outside academia, I am an advocate for community engagement and effective science communication. Through outreach efforts, I strive to empower communities with essential WASH knowledge and promote informed decision-making.
