Student wins Best Paper at ICCHMT Conference 2019

Vishal Saini x 300

The International Conference on Computational Heat and Mass Transfer (ICCHMT) was held in September in Rome this year and Aeronautical Engineering PhD student Vishal Saini won Best Paper!

The paper, titled "ACCURACY AND EFFICIENCY COMPARISON OF FINITE-VOLUME AND SPECTRAL/HP METHODS FOR LES OF A COMBUSTOR RELEVANT GEOMETRY, Vishal Saini, Hao Xia, Gary J. Page" came first from over 240 papers.

Vishal had this to say about the event:

ICCHMT 2019 was certainly a great platform to learn and share the recent developments in the field of computational heat and mass transfer in fluids.  I felt extremely honoured to receive the best paper award for our article. Speaking frankly, it was a bit surprising as well to be selected amongst numerous other interesting contributions. Sincere thanks goes to the local committee, the co-authors (Gary Page and Hao Xia) and NCCAT at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ”

The Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering offers its congratulations to Vishal for winning this prestigious award – to win from such a large number of submissions is indeed an outstanding achievement!
