Parents and children were able to come onto the campus and try out a range of activities which relate to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.)

There was an introduction to some exciting new activities such as a flight simulator, which was delivered by Mr John Newton, University Teacher from the Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering Department.

Guests were treated to a day packed full of inspiration as can be seen from photographs taken on the day itself, some of which are shown here.

Visitors really enjoyed the activities, as evidenced by some of the feedback from visitors:

“Thanks very much for all the time and effort – really appreciated.”

“Excellent event with plenty of help and inspiration”

“We really enjoyed it, a great way for the children to experience the university environment. Thank you!”

From Virtual Reality to Liquid Nitrogen to NAO Robots, the day saw 650 visitors.  If you couldn’t make it this time around, do make sure you keep posted for next year’s event!
