Formula Student Car Launch 2017

Unveiling the 2017 Formula Student carOn Friday 7th July, the Formula Student Team at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ - LUMotorsport, gathered in the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering with guests to unveil their newest car for entry into the Formula Student Competition 2017. The team gave a brief overview of the design of our latest car and the challenges faced in creating a car to compete at Formula Student Events.

The car was unveiled by the head of department Professor Martin Passmore before the assembled guests were invited to view the team's latest creation.

Formula Student Team Leader, Adam Peers had this to say about the event:

"We were delighted that so many people were able to attend the launch of our latest car LFS17, Including; University Staff; friends of the team; supporters and, of course; our sponsors, including representatives from the Ford Motor Company and Triumph Motorcycles."

Crowds around the Formula Student carThe Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering would like to wish the Formula Student team the very best with the Formula Student Competition and the events they will be attending this year at; Silverstone in the UK; Most in the Czech Republic; and; Hockenheim in Germany - their progress will be reported on an ongoing basis throughout the summer.
