Tenure of office
The Chair shall remain in office for not more than two terms, each being three years. Nominated members shall remain in office for not more than three years, except in the event of being appointed to the Chair when their period of office may be extended for up to a further two terms and nine years in total.
The five School representatives will serve for three years and will be rotated to ensure membership from all nine Schools is staggered over time. The three co-opted members will be selected through Chairs’ action and provide strength in succession planning of full members.
Co-options should be used also to improve the gender and ethnic diversity of the committee, aiming for the committee membership to be at least 40% female and 15% Black, Asian, or other Minority Ethnic background.
