Bioengineering is the application of engineering practices and principles to analyse and design new processes, tools and techniques to bridge gaps across biological and healthcare challenges. Bioengineers are responsible for some of the most innovative healthcare solutions, including prosthetics and biomaterial implants, regenerative medicine against incurable diseases and robot-assisted surgery.

Our Bioengineering courses are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). This means our programmes are benchmarked against high, internationally recognised standards and ensures students are equipped with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills to support their application for eventual professional registration to receive Chartered Engineering status.
