Results day timeline
Some key dates for your diary in the lead up to A level results day and beyond.
30th June UCAS main scheme applications close
18:00 BST on 30 June 2024 is the final deadline for applications on UCAS. After this, if you choose to apply to university your application will automatically go through the Clearing process.
4th July UCAS Extra closes
Final day to add a choice via UCAS Extra. If you do not receive any offers after this date, you will be able to add an additional choice using the Clearing process.
5th July Clearing opens!
Clearing is now open, and you can apply for a university course if you have your results.
6 July International Baccalaureate (IB) Results
Offer holders need to make sure they have nominated º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ within the IBO so we can receive their grades. If you decide you want to go through Clearing, you can start contacting universities.
17 July Hong Kong HKDSE Results (International)
Offer holders should send us their results as soon as possible. If you decide you want to go through Clearing, you can start contacting universities.
6 August Scottish (SQA) results day
SQA Advanced Higher/Higher results are released for Scotland
15 August A level results day (including BTEC)
Your A level results will be available to collect from your school or college in the morning. If you decide you want to go through Clearing, you can start calling universities and be made a verbal offer from 8am.
22 August GCSE results day
If your offer is conditional on achieving a grade in your GCSEs, then please send this to us as soon as possible.
4 September Deadline for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ offer holders to meet their offer conditions
After this date decisions on whether to accept applicants are at the University’s discretion and depend on the availability of places.
30 September Term starts
Your first term at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ starts.
