During October, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings CB FREng FS hosted three alumni receptions in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

A delegation of university staff visited East Asia to meet with alumni, visit other universities, and to build partnerships.

On 21 October the Hong Kong reception took place at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, with around 40 guests in attendance.

The delegation later travelled to mainland China. In Shanghai and Beijing, alumni headed to the Ritz Carlton Hotels for receptions on 23 and 26 October, respectively.

Alumni came together at the events to hear from the Vice-Chancellor, meet with other university staff and to network with fellow º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ graduates.

More than 180 alumni and friends attended the receptions across the three locations.

Professor Jennings updated alumni on the latest university news and developments during his first trip to the region as Vice-Chancellor.

Alumni also heard about the university strategy, Creating Better Futures. Together, with a particular focus on the international elements of the plans.

It was a brilliant opportunity for alumni to catch up and to also hear about the University. We are looking forward to keeping in touch and visiting again soon!
