Following her studies, Rebecca relocated to Stratford-upon-Avon and began her acting and directing career at Early Modern Theatre where she started working for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, an independent charity focused on preserving Shakespeare heritage sites in Stratford-upon-Avon. Whilst working for the organisation, the alumna also started her own tour company, Bard Walk.
Rebecca directed plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Dell Theatre and performed in various plays. During the pandemic when theatres faced closure, she retrained as a teacher to teach over 16-year-olds and adults. In addition, Rebecca pursued a role as a wellbeing coach. She launched a business and hopes to expand to help people conquer confidence issues and develop their creativity.
Rebecca said:
“I want students to realise that success isn't always linear and that what looks like a successful life to you might not be the same as success for other people. Don't be afraid to try new things and do the next right thing. Take opportunities and don't worry about rushing to the end of the story.”
In line with her work, Rebecca is a trip experience leader and has the opportunity to travel the country and share history and culture with people from overseas.
Speaking on her career so far, Rebecca said:
“What felt successful for me was variety and adventure and the ability to change my mind and try new things. I love to travel, and I love to learn so freelancing has been the way to design a life and career that's working for me.”
