º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ graduate James Roberts, the inventor of a new neonatal incubator designed, developed and manufactured in Britain that has helped babies thrive in NHS hospitals and across war-torn Ukraine, will be presented with The Princess Royal Silver Medal, one of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s most prestigious individual awards.

Budding engineers hear from alumni at experience days on-campus
Four alumni shared their career insights last week for the University’s Engineering Experience days. The event, which is organised by º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ’s School and College Liaison team, was aimed at 16-year-old students interested in studying engineering, with the day highlighting various branches of engineering.

Hannah Dingley has been named the new Caretaker Head Coach of Forest Green Rovers. She becomes the first woman to manage a professional men’s football team in England.

Two º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ alumni join forces to celebrate Leicester’s De Montfort Hall in a new book
Bruce Pegg and Richard Houghton, graduated from º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ in 1981 with degrees in English.
They have recently collaborated on a book, Goin' Down De Mont, that tells the story of De Montfort Hall, a music venue in the East Midlands, with a rock and pop legacy that goes back almost 60 years. -
Alumnae recount establishment of first women's tennis team in the late 70s
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ has a longstanding history with tennis with accounts going back to 1918. However, according to our alumni there are few traces of a full competitive women's team prior to 1977. We hear from Karen Ellam who shares her account of tennis at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
