After leaving º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, Simon spent a decade working for big names such as Coca Cola and PwC. More recently the alumnus has dedicated time to starting his own business, Edventurous Leadership, a website which intends to fill gaps which may arise to a lack of or poor leadership training in the workplace. Simon wants to address common issues around morale and staffing which can lead to companies not performing to their full potential.
Edventurous Leadership informs its users of different components of successful leadership through their ‘periodic table of leadership’. It splits main qualities required to become a good leader into different subsections including; a powerful mindset, resourcefulness, courage, being responsive and creating impact.
Simon is the co-founder and director of the online community and is responsible for creating learning content and producing strategy alongside co-founder Lewis Fogarty.

Simon explained the aims of Edventurous Leadership in his business overview:
“Individuals are not being adequately prepared to lead themselves, often resulting in being under-equipped for the next stages of their lives and less likely to reach their potential. In organisations this leads to poor leadership of others too, resulting in poor staff morale, recruitment and retention issues and ultimately not delivering as much value as possible. Edventurous leadership is a learning community and platform that will challenge you to think differently about leadership, and to recognise leadership as a responsibility we all have.
“Our content is based on the essential elements of successful leadership and is tailored for aspiring, new and curious leaders. We want a world where everyone can lead themselves and others to do their best work in the best environment for them. This starts by building strong self-leadership foundations, as early as possible in your professional journey, in any sector.
“From these foundations you can become an excellent leader of others too.”
We asked Simon what he sees the company developing into in the future. He said:
“We see the community growing into a network of individuals who can grow individually and collectively, doing good in their own lives and ultimately the world. “
