Queen’s Baton designed by alumni and current student
Raymont-Osman Product Design is a company based in Warwickshire. Along with Birmingham Open Media and two other local design specialists, they were commissioned to design the Queen’s Baton for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Three alumni and a current º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ student were involved in the development and design of this technological device.

Graduate’s prosthetic leads Team England athlete to Commonwealth Gold
While studying at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, recent graduate Neve Deal (Sports Technology 2022) worked with Commonwealth sprinter Emmanuel Oyinbo-Coker to create an innovative prosthetic starting device. The device was recently worn by Oyinbo-Coker at the Commonwealth Games, where he won gold in the T45-47 100m.

From player to President: Nigel Gillingham OBE elected as RFU President
Alumnus Nigel Gillingham OBE (Physical Education 1977) has been active in the rugby world for almost 50 years. He has progressed from a star player to administration within the Rugby Football Union and will soon take up the role of President.
