Like many 2020 graduates Ottavio and Dario Tanzillo initially found it difficult to find employment, but the pair managed to secure teaching support roles at Hampton Vale School Primary School in Peterborough. They witnessed first-hand the challenges for children exercising during lockdown and that, together with their own passion for health and fitness, led to the launch of Tanzii TV late last year.
The pair have so far created over 30 online exercise classes which are designed to appeal specifically to children of a primary age. Their sessions involve short and simple exercise routines that introduce children to new skills and activities.
With the aim of ensuring their videos are fun, inspire children to be physically active and feel good about themselves, the brothers have even dressed as superheroes demonstrating their desire to deliver exercise in an entertaining way. Recent episodes have been themed around the Olympics, with swimmer Andreas Vazaios joining in to talk about mental health. Story Time with Tanzii TV is another new initiative from the duo which is sparking the imagination of children through interactive stories.
The bond between the brothers is clearly a strong one. Now working together, the duo also followed identical paths through University, both academically and in their extracurricular interests. Both studied Sociology. They also lived in the same halls (The Holt and Hazlerigg Rutland), lived off campus together, swam competitively for the University and were actively involved in the activities of the Coach and Volunteer Academy and other societies.
They were inspired to attend º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ from a young age after visiting campus with their parents, Francesco and Su who met whilst students themselves in the 1980s. Theirs is a true #lborofamily story.
