Ian Wilding

Leading a team dedicated to curating, acquiring, and investing in ventures that promise both sustainable income and robust growth potential. He has a very strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and it has been a guiding principle throughout his career.  

He graduated from the university with a Bachelor’s degree in PE & Sports Science with Recreation Management in 1996. He has experience in many different organisations, focused on diverse aspects of business support and enterprise, and he believes that with his international network and knowledge of driving change through inclusive financial systems, sustainable practices, and technological advancements, he’ll be of support to the alumni community.  

He is keen on supporting alumni that are interested in building business ventures, by providing varying kinds of support such as experience exchange sessions by engaging with faculty and current students, and accessibility of University resources and networks for capital, market research, and development. 

Ian started his 3-year term in September 2023.
